The Uniqueness of the Quran

All of us have to remember that Quran is not just a book. It is the Book of Allah and there are only the words come from Allah. Our beloved Prophet (pbuh) was only the messenger who provided us with the wisdom of Allah.

  1. Quran is the most faithful speech. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said, “The most truthful speech, the most eloquent advice, and the greatest stories are in the Book of Allah.”
  2. It is in original language. As the Quran was sent in Arabic, our holy duty is to recite the Quran in its original language. However, it is also important to read the translation in own language to better understanding the words of Allah and to follow them.
  3. Words of Quran have never been changed. There are a lot of message from the Allah to people, but only the Quran has remained unaltered. Nowadays the Quran we read has exactly the same message which Allah sent to Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) through Jibraeel.
  4. The Quran is a message to all people from Allah. Quran is our guidance to the life in this world. In addition, The Book of Allah is filled with advises how to prepare to the Hereafter. Quran encourages people to be good to others and respect them. The Holy Book teaches us to live in peace and harmony.
  5. Quran brings happiness in the life of this world and the Hereafter. The Prophet (pbuh) said, “If you desire the life of the fortunate, the death of a martyr, the salvation on the Day of Regret and the shade on the Day of Extreme Heat, then you should study the Quran because it is the word of the Merciful, a sanctuary from Shaytaan and a causes the tilting of the Balance”. The Prophet (pbuh) has also said, “The reciter of the Quran will be spared from the calamities of the Hereafter.”
  6. Quran is the way to talk to Allah. The Prophet (pbuh) said, “One who starts the Quran and finishes it, Allah will grant him one answered supplication. It also helps in strengthening our faith.” Reciting the Quran plants the seed of faith.
  7. You are never alone when you have the Quran. If you are feeling lonely you shold to read the Quran. It will be amazing how fast you feel better. Ali Zaynul ‘Aabideen said, “If all who live between the East and West perish, I will have no fear as long as I have the Quran with me”.
  8. Reciting the Quran in childhood increase the wisdom in future. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said, “Whoever reads the Quran before becoming Baaligh, has indeed been given wisdom as a child.” Prophet (pbuh) also said, “The Quran is a wealth with which there is no poverty, and without which there is no wealth. On the other hand not caring to read and study the Quran is a great loss” and “Surely the person in whose heart lacks the trace of the Quran is like a ruined house.”
  9. Understanding of the Quran is the most important to understand the true teachings of Islam. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) considered the Quran as the most important lawbook for Muslims. He said, “I leave two weighty things among you: The Book of Allah and my family – the Ahlul Bayt. Indeed these two will never separate until they reach me near the pool of Kawthar.”
  10. Memorization of addition Surats increases the blessing. Muhammad Al-Baaqir said, “Whoever recites the Quran while standing in his prayer, Allah will bestow on him a hundred blessings for every letter; and whoever recites it while sitting in his prayer, Allah will reward him fifty blessings for every letter; and whoever recites it outside of his prayer, Allah will grant him ten blessings for every letter.”
  11. The Quran is the best healer. The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said, “I advice you to the Quran since it is the beneficial cure, the blessed medicine, the protection (‘Isma) for he who holds fast to it, and the salvation for he who follows it. Neither does it cause crookedness so that it departs (from the truth) nor does it deviate so that it causes trouble. Its marvels do not come to end and the vastness of refutations does not wear it.”
